By accessing our website (alectnonad.com), requesting quotes, booking equipment, or using our audio and video equipment rental services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services Offered
Alectnonad provides the following services:
Professional audio equipment rental (microphones, mixers, recorders, etc.)
Video equipment rental (cameras, lighting, stabilization equipment)
Podcast studio setup and rental
Interview and content production services
Technical crew and operator services
Equipment delivery and collection (where applicable)
All services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued without prior notice.
3. Booking and Reservations
3.1 Booking Process
Equipment bookings can be made through our website, email, or phone
All bookings are subject to equipment availability
A booking is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from us
We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion
3.2 Booking Information
You must provide accurate and complete information, including:
Full name and contact details
Rental dates and duration
Equipment requirements
Delivery/collection addresses (if applicable)
Purpose of rental and usage environment
3.3 Minimum Rental Period
The minimum rental period is typically one (1) day unless otherwise specified. Daily rates apply to 24-hour periods from the time of collection or delivery.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Pricing
All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise
Prices are subject to change without notice
Quoted prices are valid for 14 days from the date of quotation
Additional charges may apply for delivery, collection, insurance, and technical crew
4.2 Payment Terms
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to confirm bookings
Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid before equipment collection or delivery
Accepted Payment Methods: Bank transfer, credit/debit cards, and approved business accounts
Late Payments: Overdue invoices may incur interest charges at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate
4.3 Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required for equipment rentals. The deposit amount varies based on equipment value and rental duration. The deposit will be returned within 7 business days after equipment return, subject to inspection and deduction of any damages or losses.
5. Equipment Use and Care
5.1 Client Responsibilities
As the Client, you agree to:
Use equipment only for its intended purpose and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Exercise reasonable care and skill in handling all equipment
Keep equipment secure and protected from theft, damage, or adverse weather conditions
Not modify, repair, or alter equipment without written permission
Not sublet, lend, or transfer equipment to third parties
Report any defects, malfunctions, or damage immediately
Maintain equipment in the same condition as received (normal wear and tear excepted)
5.2 Prohibited Uses
Equipment must NOT be used:
In extreme weather conditions without appropriate protection
In hazardous environments (unless equipment is specifically rated for such use)
For illegal activities or purposes that violate UK law
Outside the United Kingdom without prior written consent
By persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs
5.3 Equipment Inspection
You have the right to inspect equipment upon collection or delivery. Any pre-existing damage must be reported within 24 hours. Failure to do so may result in you being held responsible for such damage.
6. Delivery and Collection
6.1 Delivery Services
Delivery and collection services are available for an additional fee
Delivery times are estimated and not guaranteed
You must ensure someone is available to receive equipment at the delivery address
Failed deliveries due to incorrect information or unavailability may incur additional charges
6.2 Self-Collection
Equipment can be collected from our location during business hours (Monday-Friday: 09:00-18:00, Saturday: 10:00-16:00)
Valid photo identification and booking confirmation must be presented
Equipment must be returned to the same location unless otherwise agreed
6.3 Return of Equipment
Equipment must be returned by the agreed return date and time
Late returns may incur additional rental charges
Equipment should be returned clean and in its original packaging
All accessories, cables, and components must be returned
7. Cancellation and Amendments
7.1 Client Cancellations
More than 14 days before rental: 50% deposit refunded
7-14 days before rental: 25% deposit refunded
Less than 7 days before rental: No refund
7.2 Amendments
Booking amendments are subject to equipment availability and may incur administrative fees. Requests must be made in writing at least 48 hours before the rental period.
7.3 Our Cancellation Rights
We reserve the right to cancel bookings in cases of:
Equipment unavailability due to damage or unforeseen circumstances
Non-payment or payment issues
Breach of these Terms
Force majeure events
In such cases, we will provide a full refund or offer alternative equipment where possible.
8. Damage, Loss, and Liability
8.1 Client Liability
You are responsible for any damage to, loss of, or theft of equipment during the rental period. You will be charged the full replacement cost for lost or stolen items, and repair costs for damaged equipment.
8.2 Insurance
We strongly recommend that Clients obtain appropriate insurance coverage for rented equipment. Optional insurance is available at an additional cost. Please inquire when booking.
8.3 Limitation of Our Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from equipment use
We are not liable for production delays, lost profits, or missed opportunities
Our total liability shall not exceed the total rental fees paid for the affected booking
We do not warrant that equipment will be error-free or operate without interruption
Important: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.
9. Technical Support and Training
Basic operational guidance is provided with equipment rental. Additional technical support, training, or crew services are available at additional cost. We are not responsible for user error or improper operation of equipment.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Our Content
All website content, logos, trademarks, and materials are our property or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use them without written permission.
10.2 Client Content
Content created using our equipment remains your property. However, we may request permission to use samples for marketing purposes (with appropriate credits).
11. Data Protection and Privacy

12. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters, severe weather, floods, or earthquakes
War, terrorism, civil unrest, or riots
Government actions, legislation, or restrictions
Pandemics or public health emergencies
Power failures, telecommunications failures, or internet outages
Strikes or labor disputes
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alectnonad, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
Your breach of these Terms
Your misuse of equipment
Third-party claims related to your use of equipment
Your violation of any laws or regulations
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Informal Resolution

14.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14.3 Alternative Dispute Resolution

15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Alectnonad regarding the use of our services, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.
17. Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
18. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your obligations without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
19. Amendments to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify clients of material changes via email where possible.
